NÄKKÄLÄ

A Sami, a Swiss and lots of reindeers.

A hamlet in Finland’s vast tundra. It has become the second home of Hans Ulrich Schwaar from the Swiss Emmental region. He lives there with his friend and host, the Sami Iisakki-Matias Syväjärvi, owner of the largest reindeer herd. Reindeer and the rhythm of nature determine everyday life.

Peter Ramseier has captured this life and the friendship between two men from different cultures with spectacular and poetic images.
